I have a smart phone that I just bought last July, and it’s not as good as an unlocked iphone you could buy online. I thought I had something that could last me for about two years. Then, just about the time that I finally got used to the idea of being able to get all the features, I got the bad news. According to the website of the phone maker, they’re not going to be getting a software upgrade. They have something like 40 phones similar to this and about half of them won’t get an upgrade. That means maybe 75% of the great applications in the app store won’t work on my phone. If I had been smart and bought a better unlocked phone online, I’d be better off. That is because with the unlocked iphone, you know that the company that makes it is going to stand by the product and provide operating system updates. Even a used unlocked iphone right now would be better for me.
